About the Journal
“Dadolin” is a word of Tetum Terik origin and means ‘interlocution of voices’ or ‘sung voices’. It is a languages and literature magazine that seeks to consider the linguistic and cultural diversity of Timor-Leste, whose official languages are Tetum and Portuguese.
In addition to this purpose, the journal also intends to welcome academic work from the other countries of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) - Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe -, seeking to promote Pluricentric Portuguese, respecting the varieties of the Portuguese language of each member country and other locations that have Portuguese as an official language, such as Macau - China, and unofficial, such as Goa - India, for example.
Dadolin is an Open-Access, peer-reviewed academic journal for the publication of studies in Linguistics, Literature, and Language Teaching. It aims to publish original research articles, retrospectives, essays, book reviews, interviews, translations, and thematic dossiers. Dadolin is published in several languages, including Portuguese and its varieties, Tetum, and English.
There are no processing costs for articles to be published in the journal. Dadolin is published by the Department of Portuguese Language Teaching and the Department of Tetum Language Teaching, Faculty of Education, Arts and Humanities (FEAH), National University of Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL), Timor-Leste. This journal has been published every six months since 2024.
